Nathan Gillispie, DPT
Specialization:General orthopedics, sport related injuries with special interest in rehabilitation of running injuries, foot and ankle disorders, shoulder and knee rehabilitation, and BFRT (Blood Flow Restriction Training).
Nathan completed his undergraduate degree at Christopher Newport University in 2010, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Staying in the Tidewater area, Nathan then earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Old Dominion University in 2014. He worked for two years in Virginia Beach at an outpatient orthopedic clinic before moving to Charlottesville and joining the ACAC team. Since graduation, Nathan has taken continuing education courses in foot and ankle biomechanics, the rehabilitation of running injuries, and shoulder and knee pathology and rehabilitation. Nathan enjoys treating patients of all ages with orthopedic and sports related injuries.
Nathan is a sports enthusiast, and you can find him watching the Redskins games every Sunday during football season. He enjoys playing basketball and exercising regularly, along with spending time outside with his wife and chocolate lab.
