Stacy Rider, MS, ATC, LAT, NREMT
Specialization: Injury prevention, sports-related injuries, concussion management, and heat illness management.
Stacy Rider initially majored in business when she started college, but quickly realized she was more interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. She switched to a pre-Physical Therapy major early on and really enjoyed it. This interest quickly introduced her to the field of Athletic Training, so by the end of her sophomore year she was a dual major in both. She graduated in 2011 with her Bachelor degree in Athletic Training from Messiah College. She spent a year as an Intern Assistant Athletic Trainer at Catawba College then went on to get her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from James Madison University in 2014.
Stacy has worked as an Athletic Trainer in a variety of settings - both at the college and high school levels. From the fall of 2015 to the spring of 2018 she served as the Athletic Trainer at Blue Ridge School, an all boys boarding school near Charlottesville, VA. She is looking forward to this new chapter in her role with PT@ACAC as the Head Athletic Trainer at Western Albemarle High School.
When Stacy is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids. She also enjoys baking and running.
