Each May, National Speech-Language-Hearing Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of ASHA members in providing life-altering treatment.

National Speech-Language-Hearing Month is sponsored by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; their mission: making effective communication, a human right, accessible and achievable for all.

This year’s observance is particularly special as 2025 marks ASHA’s Centennial, a rare and significant opportunity to showcase the vast impact of the professions on society—and how the work of audiologists and speech-language pathologists has evolved over a century.
