Understanding Concussions

Every year, concussions affect millions of people worldwide. As evidence from the sports world has shown, having multiple concussions can be devastating.

 

Proper management and rehabilitation is key to preventing recurrent concussions.

Speech-Language Therapy Now Offered

If your speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing have been damaged by illness or injury, we’re here to help. PT@acac’s certified speech pathologist can diagnose and provide rehabilitative services for a wide array of communicative, cognitive, voice and swallowing disorders, including:

 

• Dysphagia (Disorder of swallowing)

• Stroke

• Voice Disorders

• Head injury

• Neurodenegrative diseases including but not limited to: Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

 

Our speech therapist can help you overcome communication barriers providing the skills/techniques needed to achieve the vital daily activities of communication and swallowing.

 

PT@acac’s speech-language pathologist is a licensed professional with a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

 

We currently offer speech therapy services to adults.
